How to choose the best blender?
The bread oven, washing machine, mixer, television, and even the refrigerator have long been established appliances in Georgian households, but globalization and technology have also brought innovations to our kitchen tools. One such is the blender, which has already become a part of everyday life for foreigners.

A blender (or one of its variations - a food processor) - can be said to be a thing created specifically for convenience. With its help, we manage to save a lot of time, not to mention the dishes that are prepared only with its help. It literally acts as a third hand for the housewife, and it seems that a gadget with one or several rotating blades manages to combine a lot of different manual functions.
Making porridge (for children or adults), chopping any kind of solid product, pureeing, salads, hummus, and even traditional dishes like adjika - have become integral parts of the blender world.
When choosing a blender, one of the important criteria that is observed is its compactness (especially in today's time, when it can fit into relatively small kitchens). It is also necessary to investigate in advance how easy it is to maintain. Technical components, such as the quality and speed of chopping products, are also really important factors.

There are two types of blenders: stationary and portable ( so-called hand blender ).
A stationary blender is used to prepare cocktails and also to crush solid products. It performs its function independently, without having to be held in the hand. Often, stationary blenders have a self-cleaning function, which further simplifies their use.
A component of this type of blender is their jar, which can be made of various materials. A glass jar is a good option - it does not scratch, and does not absorb flavors from the prepared food, but on the other hand, it is quite heavy. A plastic blender is the complete antipode of glass - lightweight, but with a risk of scratches and odors. However, with good care, each jar will serve you without problems until the end of the blender's life.
The main advantage of a hand blender is its compactness. It is easy to make purees and sauces with it, but it is also used to crush nuts and walnuts. Hand blenders are usually made of metal or plastic. A metal blender, of course, lasts longer than a plastic one, but the difference is still in weight - how comfortable will you feel holding a metal object in your hand for a long time?
As for the maintenance of the blender itself, if your blender has a self-cleaning function , you will not have to work extra hard and touch sharp blades. After using the blender, you should pour warm water into the bowl, press the self-cleaning button, and the bowl will literally clean itself. In the absence of such a button, this process must be carried out manually.
