How to take care of our friend the washing machine?
As they say, a washing machine is a housewife's friend , saving her a lot of time and energy. This friend is faithful throughout her life, if, of course, you choose the right one.
Respect should be mutual, so just as he helps and cares for you, you should take care of and nurture him. Here are some tips for doing so.
No matter how expensive a washing machine you buy or, conversely, how cheap it is during a sale , its safety cannot be fully guaranteed if you do not clean it periodically.

What is needed to clean a car?
In addition to dirt, mineral deposits also accumulate in the car, which is caused by several reasons:
- From hard water
- From improper operation
- From poor-quality detergents that contain excessive amounts of chemicals
Unfortunately, most sediment accumulates in hard-to-reach areas, making the cleaning process difficult. Despite this, manufacturers recommend cleaning your car at least twice a month.
Cleaning the washing machine drum - When you notice an unpleasant odor coming from your machine, it's time to clean the drum. To remove the odor, simply fill the machine with hot water (i.e., set the washing program to hot water), and then add bleach or a special cleaning agent to the drum.
Once the machine is full and the bleach has dissolved in the water, turn it off and let the water sit in the drum for an hour. This method removes dirt and grime, which can cause odors and damage the machine over time.
It is recommended to clean the filter 3 times a month. Use hard water softeners periodically.
How to remove plaque
A quality washing machine cleaning product must meet the following conditions:
- It must be safe for the fabric of the clothing and for the person who will have to wear it.
- Effectively cleans from sediment and detergent residue.
- It should not damage the metal, rubber or plastic parts of the car.
Consider that detergents that are supposed to be added to the powder during regular washing should be discarded. If it can be used with the detergent, then this product is only a water softener.
It partially prevents the formation of deposits, but it does nothing to help existing deposits. Sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, vinegar essence, and citric acid are often used to clean the interior surfaces of a car, although all of these acids have a negative effect on metal and rubber parts.
For the same reason, it is not worth using the products that are used to clean the car from deposits. It is better to use special cleaning products that are released by the car manufacturers themselves and that meet all three of the above conditions.
Cleaning the filter - To clean it, you will need a container for dirty water and a rag on the floor so that spilled water does not get under the car. Open the panel where the filter is located. There is an emergency water overflow hose there.
Once it is empty of water, start removing the filter. There will be dirt in it - hair or lint from clothes. Remove all excess debris.
Do not leave washed laundry in the machine for a long time, as the warm and humid environment promotes the growth of mold and mildew. As soon as the washing process is complete, be sure to remove it from the washing machine and, if necessary, store it outside in another storage area.
Airing - After washing, leave the car door open. If there is a lot of moisture left inside, you can also wipe it with a cloth. This will help your car last longer.
Don't miss the washing machine test and other important events.
Good luck!
