Small tool kit - European choice

Our previous post about the tool kit emphasized its necessity in a man's arsenal. We also mentioned that this tool kit, whether it's a set of pliers, a set of wrenches, or a portable tool kit box , makes a man's practical and psychological life much easier.

However, just like with cars, houses, and televisions, there is a trade-off between status and practicality. Tool sets come in a variety of sizes, and if you're not the type of guy who needs a full collection of home or auto tools, but simply needs to be able to fix a problem in an emergency, or at least postpone it until a handyman arrives, a small tool set is just the thing for you.

A relatively small set of wrenches can be said to be a European choice. It will not be suitable for showing off to neighbors, but it will fulfill its purpose. (For comparison, a large 5.5-volume GMC SUV VS a Mercedes Smart).

In the small tool set, as well as in the large tool set, you won't find huge wrenches with an endless selection of sockets , but its screwdrivers and "clutches" will fit virtually any need you might have at home.

Most of them have the most common selection of sockets, <treshotka>, screwdrivers (aka atvorka) and various types of star. The best thing is - they are all placed in one box, so that everyone has their own place and therefore the chance of losing them is low. If you lose them - at least you will know what part to look for.

Some of them also have flat lips (aka plaskagubtsi), and secateur-like cutters (aka kusochka).

Since these kits are not large in size, you can also use them as auto tools, and not to mention the topic of our previous blog post - ask your young child to provide you with a carrying case if necessary. Remember, in the case of a large box, you would most likely have to carry the rather heavy kit yourself (which you could do as a gentleman, although a small bag also allows you to be a gentleman).

On the other hand, if you think about it, you can also get a psychological boost from using these tools. What's the point of fixing a broken faucet when absolutely every tool is immediately available, but how much fun is it when you have to use creative methods to solve a problem with limited options? The resulting confidence boost will definitely have a positive effect on your mood.
