Washing machine - assistant to housewives

The ancestor of the washing machine was English and was born in 1691. The huge wooden drum had an iron hand crank on the front...perhaps its owner preferred to wash by hand rather than put laundry in it.

I don't think it would have been an easy task to swing and spin on such a large handle.

Modern washing machines are already a real wonder. Perhaps someday they will add a function where the laundry will be collected by itself and, most importantly, hung on a line to dry. How blissful that would be!

Dreams are far away, and in today's time, it is unthinkable to live normally without this item in the house. It makes household chores so much easier that its breakdown becomes a real tragedy not only for the housewife.

When I was a kid, there were hand-held machines that looked like big, tall pots with huge cords. You put your laundry in and then you had to stir it with a big piece of wood to get it to cook properly.

Changing the water was a separate art. You had to drain the dirty water from that huge hose and pour fresh water in. How long did it take for so many Levites to make it to the finals!

In 2019, there are silent, quiet washing machines. They will wash in 10-15 minutes, so you won't even notice. You can freely combine all kinds of clothes with the washing mode, so that expensive clothes don't get ruined. Isn't that great?

Most often, the drum breaks down, and if you don't take proper care of this amazing thing, it can become stained and even moldy. It's disgusting, but it's reality.
