How to clean a gas stove

Food residue that sticks to the inside of your oven can cause a fire. So, we need to clean the oven not only to keep it clean, but also for safety. This is one of the most difficult and messy tasks, but it's time to take it seriously and clean the gas stove.

How to clean a gas stove

Fortunately, we know a few simple ways:

  • Wait for the oven to cool down and remove any food residue.

To clear the way, remove the oven racks. Use a paper towel or cloth to remove any burnt-on food residue from the bottom of the oven. Don't be lazy! The more you remove now, the less work you'll have to do later.

Before we move on to the next step, make sure that your gas stove, that indispensable kitchen appliance , has really cooled down.

  • Mix baking soda with water

Mix half a cup of baking soda with water. You should end up with a thin dough-like mass. Spread the baking soda and water mixture over the bottom of the oven, but do not let it touch the heating elements.

  • Washing powder against oven racks

Put some washing powder in a bathtub with very hot water. Put the oven racks in the bathtub and leave them overnight, and in the morning you will be able to remove the dirt very easily.

  • Take a break.

The mixture of baking soda and water spread on the bottom of the oven will last until morning. Don't touch it yet.

  • Clean the oven window

Use the same method. Apply a mixture of baking soda and water to the inside of the oven window and leave it there for half an hour. After that, you can easily clean the window with a clean cloth.

  • Clean the top of the oven.

Mix the following ingredients:

  1. 1 tablespoon salt
  2. 1 tablespoon baking soda
  3. 1 tablespoon water

Apply the mixture to the top of the oven, then wipe it clean.

  • The next morning

Wipe off the dried baking soda with a damp cloth.

  • Use vinegar and a wet cloth

Pour some vinegar into a spray bottle and spray the areas of the oven where there is still baking soda. Again, take a damp cloth and wipe the oven clean. Remove the shelves from the tub and, after cleaning, put them back in the oven.

That's all! These methods are valid whether you have a standard stove or even if your kitchen table is adorned with an electric stove .
