It also offers cinema camera features and a huge battery. There's a lot to like about it, but without access to the Google Play Store, you might run into some issues due to recent political problems with Huawei and China in general.

Pluses:

  • Sophisticated design
  • Innovative camera
  • Huge battery

Cons:

  • Price
  • Limited availability
  • No Google Play services
  • Doesn't have a headphone jack

Building on the success of the Mate 20 and P30 Pro, Huawei has delivered a slew of breakthroughs over the past year, but the company has suffered setbacks during the US-China trade war, which could spell the end of the Western smartphone industry .

Design

The back of the Mate 30 Pro features what Huawei calls a Halo design. Its dimensions are represented by an enlarged aperture that houses four cameras.

It has a ring around it with a matte finish. On the left side of the ring is a flash that looks like a xenon module, but unfortunately, it's an LED.

Although there is a power button on the Mate 30 Pro , it doesn't have a powerful volume.

Instead, the phone's frame can detect touches. To make the volume bar disappear, you have to double-tap the side of the phone and replace it.

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro has a rugged glass and metal body with IP68 water and dust resistance.

Also, its print quality and Gorilla Glass 6 front and back make this phone desirable for innovation enthusiasts.

Display

Its Horizon display is 6.53 inches in size and is a Flex OLED panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1176.

This gives it a pixel density of 409 pixels per inch, which is more than enough for most people.

Camera

Huawei's SuperSensing camera array includes four sensors. It uses a 16 MP ultra-wide super-wide camera for taking photos.

The 40 MP wide cinema camera, the 8 MP telephoto camera are powered by an 80mm equivalent focal length, and the phone also has a SuperSensing 40 MP primary wide camera.

While the Mate 30 Pro introduces Sony Xperia 1-esque cinematic video features, it's not available on the version we have available.

The smartphone, which has been released for production, offers 4K 60fps shooting, an industry-high ISO of 409600, dual AIS + OIS, and stabilized footage.

The Mate 30 Pro can shoot slow-motion video at 7680 frames per second.
