Top loading washing machine

Top-loading washing machines have a door at the top of the machine where you put in or take out your laundry. This type of top-loading washing machine uses an agitator to move the clothes around inside the washing basket. The agitator is a tall rod in the center of the washing basket, with or without fins, that rotates back and forth, agitating the clothes to help break up loose soil.
