The fifth sense (smell) is a powerful one, which is why the scents you wear can be such a defining characteristic, and the scents you smell can often be a significant factor in forming opinions about you. They can also be incredibly attractive - filling your senses with pheromones and drawing you to them inexplicably, or vice versa.

Fragrances can evoke strong emotions in people; a scent that instantly takes you back to the past with its nostalgia-inducing properties, or perhaps a soothing scent that reminds you so strongly of a loved one, or simply the scent of home.

Why is it necessary to wear perfume?

Fragrance is one of the oldest beauty products in history. However, perfumes are much more than just scents. They have the power to make a statement without words. They evoke beautiful (and not-so-beautiful) memories, and they are one of the simplest, yet most delightful, little pleasures in everyday life that we do just for ourselves.

How to choose your favorite perfume?

A good fragrance should have a balance of complementary scents, longevity, and one that suits your personality. Essential oils offer more than synthetics in terms of longevity and balance. EDT is a perfume with a concentration of 4-15%, which usually gives the wearer 3-4 hours of longevity, while Eau de Parfum contains a higher concentration, around 15-20%.

If you are not sure what kind of scent you, or the intended recipient of the fragrance, like, I recommend that in both men's and women's perfumes, the main ones are floral, fresh, fruity, citrus, oriental, woody and spicy scents.
