Learn how to keep your baby safe when using a baby carrier!
A baby carrier is arguably the most important item for a parent of a baby. There is no doubt that a baby carrier is a safe way to carry your baby. In a baby carrier, your baby is close to you and you don't have to carry him or her by hand. A baby carrier is especially useful when traveling and visiting.
Some parents think they can't use a baby carrier until their baby is 6 weeks old or older. But you can use a baby carrier from the day your baby is born if he or she weighs at least seven pounds. It's important for babies to maintain a close bond with mom and dad from the very beginning. And while you can get that closeness by holding your baby, it's not practical to hold your baby for more than four hours a day. Make sure your baby meets the minimum weight limit for the baby carrier for safety reasons.

Use a baby carrier
Carry the baby in the correct position.
This means having him sit upright, with his neck fully supported, his airway open, his chin away from his chest, and against you and high above his body.
Secure the baby in an ergonomic position.
Your baby should sit in a natural wide-legged, spread-legged position with knees bent. This ergonomic carrying position supports your baby's spine, hips, and legs to help prevent hip dysplasia.
Tighten the fastener well.
Make sure any buckles, straps, wraps, etc., are securely fastened or locked to keep the child safe and secure.
Check the fabric for wear.
Tears and holes in the fabric can make it unsafe to wear.
Be more careful and vigilant.
Because your center of gravity changes when you carry your baby, your chances of falling may increase. Be more aware of your surroundings and be careful on or near stairs, slippery surfaces, curbs, and other hazards.

Don't overdress.
With your baby so close to you, it can be easy for your baby to overheat inside the carrier. Pay attention to the season, the outside and inside temperatures (depending on where you will be), what you will be wearing, and what you will be doing so that you can dress your baby appropriately.
Do not burn yourself when using the baby carrier.
Babies should remain in an upright position, so if you need to lie down, remove the baby from the carrier first.
Don't be proud of your waist.
If you need to bend, bend your knee to keep your baby in an upright position.
Do not use the baby carrier while cycling, running, skiing, snowboarding, etc.
Light physical activity, such as walking, hiking, and even yoga, is fine, but intense physical activity should be avoided while using a baby carrier , as it is dangerous for your baby and can be dangerous for you as well.
