How to choose bathroom shelves?
Bathroom shelves are a cabinet in the bathroom that is most often used to store toiletries, toiletries, and sometimes medications. Bathroom cabinets are usually placed under sinks, above sinks, or above toilets.
Most of our bathrooms contain small utility cabinets used to store bath linens, bathroom essentials, and toiletries. These cabinets need to be durable as they are exposed to water droplets, steam, and dripping lotions on a daily basis.

Where should bathroom cabinets be placed?
The most common bathroom cabinets are built below the bathroom vanity, where bathroom cabinets are a combination of drawers and vanities.
In case the bathroom has a pedestal sink, then the cabinet is installed above the sink. This type of cabinet includes a front mirror and is 6-8 inches deep, which is enough to store bathroom essentials and toiletries. Bathroom cabinets are also installed as freestanding wall-mounted cabinets or floor cabinets.
The bathroom is a moisture-laden space. Therefore, all bathroom cabinet materials must be resistant to moisture and humidity. In addition, bathroom cabinet materials must be strong enough to support the weight of stone countertop materials such as marble, granite, or quartz.

What material is best for bathroom cabinets?
Avoid materials like MDF (medium density fiberboard). MDF is not resistant to moisture and humidity.
Laminate is the best option for bathroom cabinets because it is highly resistant to stains and water. However, it is advisable to use a matte laminate - scratches and stains are less visible on a matte finish than on a glossy one.
Avoid wood veneers for bathroom cabinets; they are more delicate than laminate and require regular maintenance.
You can also make the main structure of the bathroom cabinet in plywood and glass shutters. Glass gives a modern look and adds an element of lightness inside the bathroom.
An affordable way to finish bathroom cabinets is to paint them with latex or oil-based paints and primers. It is best to go for latex paints as they emit fewer VOCs than oil-based paints.
