How is a plasma cutting machine different from other welding machines?
Plasma cutting machines work on a variety of metals. This could be aluminum, copper, steel, etc. The specifications of standard plasma cutting machines are as follows:
Setting the tool to 60% of its load duration, a cable length of 3 to 5 meters, and an increase in the air supply rate from the compressor from 100 to 250 liters, cutting depths of 10, 20, 30 mm.
Plasma cutting has many advantages. It has high speed and precise cutting capabilities. Plasma cutting can be used for making shapes, metalworking, and also for cutting materials.

How does a plasma cutter work?
A plasma cutter has a so-called torch, which consists of three main parts: an electrode, a gas burner, and nozzles. Gas pressure is sent through the so-called torch, after which the electrode ignites and the nozzles touch the work metal, creating a kind of circuit.
The gas escaping from the torch is heated by the spark created by the metal and the electrode, creating a plasma. The electric plasma cuts the metal, while the shielding gas protects the cut area as well as the welding area.
Types of plasma cutters
It combines a handheld plasma cutter and a mechanical plasma cutter.
A handheld plasma cutter is used by those who have a hobby of making metal crafts or who need to transport this tool frequently. A handheld plasma cutter has a hand-operated plasma torch with which it cuts metal.
A mechanical plasma cutter is used to perform larger cutting jobs because it is not controlled by hand, as it is mounted on a table and it is on this table that the metal is cut, and this cut and the depth of the cutting torch are controlled by a computer system, which can also melt the metal and laser cut it.

How to comply with safety regulations?
When performing any type of work, no matter what type of equipment we use, we must follow the necessary safety rules. The work of a plumber is quite dangerous, so we must strictly follow the necessary safety standards.
Plasma cutting uses an electric arc, so we need to wear a welding helmet and safety glasses to protect ourselves from the glare.
When working, a plasma cutter will inevitably start to throw sparks, so it would be a good idea to use welding gloves, an apron, and a jacket for protection to avoid body burns.
