Purpose and use of a cordless drill/driver

A cordless drill is a hand-held tool used to drive screws into surfaces with bits that fit over the head of the screw you are trying to drive.

Although its speed is lower than that of a drill, it allows for more precise screw driving, which is often not possible when using a drill due to its speed.

What exactly is a cordless drill used for?

To install the screws, you may be better off using a cordless drill/driver, as this will give you better control.

When trying to fix small problems, such as fixing a cabinet door to its frame, or removing it, or attaching a picture to a wall, or other small home repairs, a cordless drill will help you better with this.

Cordless drill/driver features

Although a cordless drill is relatively small in size , it has much more power than a standard drill.

When the tool is working, if it encounters any kind of resistance, it senses this resistance and when the resistance is felt, the cordless drill switches to the so-called <super mode>, through which it performs the work cleanly.

Why a cordless drill?

Instead of using constant torque, the tool uses it only in small, rapid bursts. The net effect of this is that it dramatically reduces the amount of force that goes into your arm, but increases the force that goes into the drill. This makes the cordless drill much easier to hold in your hand.

The shut-off function that the cordless drill has prevents rapid tightening and as a result, the bit stays in the screw hole exactly where you want it.
