Hammer - a simple and necessary tool for work!
A hammer is a simple tool designed to manually drive nails and other fasteners into softer materials such as wood or masonry.
A hammer has a head and a handle. Most construction and household hammers are claw hammer heads , weighing 7, 10, 13, 16, or 20 ounces.

How to use a hammer safely?
To use a sledgehammer safely, choose a hammer head with the appropriate weight. It is used for relatively small jobs. 16 and 20 ounce hammers are used for framing and roofing, or for driving larger nails.
Firmly grip the bottom half of the handle, slowly turn the head and hit the nail head. Make sure your hand doesn't follow you under the hammer. Then hit the hammer with more force to drive the nail into the wood. Continue to strike to drive the nail into the material.
How to maintain a hammer?
Hammers require no maintenance. The head of a wooden-handled hammer can be replaced; replacement handles are available at major hardware stores.

Round-headed hammer
A ball-head hammer was originally designed for cutting or shaping metal materials . For this purpose, one end of the head is shaped like a ball. The other end is flat and is used for driving.
Ball-jointed hammers are best for:
- In metalworking
- To round the edges
- In the blow
Dead Blow Hammer
These hammers are designed to strike surfaces with great force, and the dead blow means they don't bounce back after impact.
