What can you put in a small tool kit?
Both homeowners and experienced workers need a set of basic household tools.
You may have a lot of tools for specific projects that you rarely use and can store them in the garage or workshop. However, a small tool kit is easy to carry around and can often come in handy.

Screws
Two basic screwdrivers are a must-have in your tool kit. Choose both a flathead screwdriver and a Phillips-head screwdriver, both small and medium in size.
A set of small screws will come in handy when you need to , for example, fix glasses or repair audio or computer equipment.
Pliers
Be sure to have pliers in your kit. Include a small assortment of different sizes and shapes. Needle-nose pliers are most commonly used, but it's also good to have a heavier pair. Wire cutters are good for wiring and craft work.
Flat-nosed
This tool looks like a standard pair of pliers, but has a locking mechanism that grips and holds things tightly. Use it to hold a screw you want to remove, or use it to pry two sticky objects apart. It provides a slip-free grip when you need it.

Cordless drill
You might be surprised to find this tool in a small tool kit, but this handy tool has almost endless uses. It's most commonly used for drilling holes, driving nails, and screws, but you can also insert screwdriver bits to help you insert or remove screws.
