Canon's history is inextricably linked to photographic technology, dating back to 1933 with the development of the first compact 35mm camera.

Canon eventually became the world leader in the production of photographic equipment, both in terms of cameras and in the selection of interchangeable lenses. Almost every second camera sold in the world comes from this brand.
Every photographer will confirm that Canon is a trusted brand in photography. The only thing you should pay attention to is the model you want to buy, and our review will help you with that.
It is impossible to achieve such results with just recognition and name, especially in the professional segment. Therefore, it is definitely worth taking a closer look at Canon's lineup and checking out our review of the best digital cameras in our ranking.
Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III
The previous model was released about five years ago, which is a serious period for cameras. Even the professional line of DSLRs is updated more frequently.
Despite this, the compact series camera has been updated quite well, although the price has increased. By the way, this Canon did not break tradition and even won the TIPA 2018 award for the best professional compact camera.

The camera, which is equipped with a dust- and moisture-resistant magnesium body, is smaller and lighter in appearance than its predecessor.
At the same time, the matrix has increased from 13 to 24 megapixels, which also supports Dual Pixel. Therefore, autofocus also works perfectly.
The triple zoom lens, equipped with an optical stabilizer, has a focal length of 24-72 mm, and at wide angle it has a good aperture ratio of f / 2.8. Overall, in terms of image quality, the Canon camera competes perfectly with other models.
Main advantages:
- Excellent image quality for the compact segment;
- APS-C Dual Pixel support;
- Optical stabilization.
Cons:
- High price.
Canon EOS 2000D
“An update without an update” - this is the name of the latest series of four-digit models released at the moment. Indeed, it is noticeable that various functions collected from previous models are loaded into this camera, which ultimately leaves a real feeling of cost reduction. Because of such an attitude, photographers even avoid communicating with this camera.
In terms of ergonomics, of course, the Canon 2000D camera is much better than what we have seen in previous “four-digit” models. The 2000D, in any case, already looks like a normal “SLR”.
Main advantages:
- Low price;
- Pretty good quality lenses (at least, optical stabilizer is really useful for beginners);
Cons:
- Outdated equipment;
- Limited functionality;
- The battery grip does not allow you to quickly change the memory card.
Canon EOS R kit
This camera is undoubtedly Canon's most talked-about innovation. Canon's full-frame mirrorless cameras have been completely revamped, but the company has allowed users to use existing EF lenses via an adapter.

Officially, the camera is similar to the EOS 5D Mark IV, which has a mirrorless camera with similar "dual pixel" sensors, as well as average frame rates and 4K video support. But in this particular case, the DIGIC 8 processor is used.
With the new lenses, the focus works very smartly, which, given the size and weight of the camera, allows it to be used outdoors. The camera is truly ready for high-speed shooting. In addition, by touching the touch screen, it allows you to quickly change the focus point, which makes high-speed shooting even easier.
An interesting feature of the camera is that its shutter is closed when turned off. That is, when replacing the optical matrix, dust will not get in, which is a big advantage for professional use, rather than the characteristics of the matrix or the quality of the optics.
Main advantages:
- Dual Pixel full-frame sensor, with "dual pixel" RAW storage capability;
- Ability to use EF lenses via the original adapter;
- Fast and efficient autofocus
Cons:
- Limited autonomy.
